ESG and "Why should I care?"

Description

ESG as a way of future-proofing the Agriculture industry. Alison Joutsi, Vice President, ESG & Sustainability, BDO Canada will provide an overview of the various ESG risks and opportunities available for the agriculture industry. During her presentation she will discuss the following

•What is ESG? •The benefits and opportunities of adopting an ESG strategy (i.e. ability to gain funding/financing, new revenue streams etc.)

•Supply chain implications from various commitments i.e. Sobeys etc.

•Update on the regulation – what this means for the industry

•“Practical” side of adopting ESG and implementing in stages depending on priorities

•Open group discussion on the opportunity/what support is needed

About our Presenter: Alison is a sustainability and ESG leader. She holds a law degree from the University of London (LL.B), a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and has a postgraduate diploma from the University of Toronto in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Her diverse backgrounds allow her to approach ESG issues from a legal, business and strategic communications perspective, resulting in her ability to provide full-service counsel to businesses on all areas of ESG and sustainability.
