This course provides a basic understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the importance of having a food safety program. This introductory program outlines how every person working at a facility can have either a positive or a negative impact on food safety. You will be able to identify food safety hazards and understand how food workers behavior and can have either a positive or a negative impact on food safety. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand how GMPs and HACCP support the safe manufacturing of food and how to implement GMPs. Participants should be able to explain the benefits of a HACCP system, understand hazards and how they can be controlled, and the importance of GMPs in supporting safe food manufacturing and your role.
