MODULE 1 — BUILDING BLOCKS
2 half-day sessions
April 21 & April 28
When you step into a leadership role, you inherit a great deal of responsibility which includes obligations to your colleagues and your customers. It is important that you understand the role. Although many of the parameters will be set by your organization, this module will cover the fundamental skills and qualities of great leaders. We will also explain the broader legal rights and responsibilities of employers and supervisors in Manitoba.
This module has been broken into 2 half-day sessions to make it easier for employees to participate.
Minimum of 8 people required.
Created by Food and Beverage Manitoba, the 5-module LEADERSHAPE program is designed to equip new supervisors to lead people. The program starts with the fundamentals of leadership and the series then follows the lifecycle of an employee – from hiring through performance management, or progressive discipline and termination. Each module is a practical workshop, allowing participants to actively apply their new skills and knowledge in a variety of situations.
Certificates provided to participants who complete all five modules.
